Mary Anderson is a freelance fashion/beauty reporter and editor, adjunct fashion professor, stylist, and brand consultant based in New York City, who has written for InStyle, Fashionista, Harper’s Bazaar, and Revelist.
She also teaches Fashion Advertising and Promotion at Syracuse University.
While at the Millennial women’s lifestyle site Revelist, she managed the brand’s fashion-focused Facebook page and produced many photoshoots and video shoots, in addition to reporting news and long-form industry coverage.
She was previously at GQ as the Assistant to the Editor-in-Chief. During her time with the Elle and Harper’s Bazaar Video Team at Hearst Digital Media, she associate produced a video which was nominated for a 2017 People’s Webby Award.
She has created documentaries, research papers, and countless articles about the intersection of fashion and culture.
As a Fellow, Mary received her graduate degree in Magazine, Newspaper, and Online Journalism at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
Before Syracuse, she graduated from Rice University as a English and Film double major, where she was also served as a student body President.
